Dr. D'Souza is designing a mobile app that will serve as an educational tool for patients and providers alike, aiming to improve care and understanding across diverse linguistic backgrounds. StrokeSpeak will provide detailed information on the spectrum of stroke care from prevention to acute treatment to post-stroke rehabilitation through  pre-recorded video commands for the National Institutes of Health StrokeScale (NIHSS).

Amrish Deshmukh, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor, Electrophysiology 

Dr. Deshmukh is developing a device and method to acquire data useful for decision-making in patients with cardiomyopathy and non-invasively obtain measurements needed for pacemaker implantation.

Dr. Kruger is designing improved tools for enhanced early Esophageal injury (EI) detection and avoidance.

Prabhvir Singh Marway, MD

Dr. Marway's innovation is focused on opportunistic screening of disease from CT scans of the chest, capturing additional value for patients and providers in the context of ever-increasing imaging volumes.

Oscar Moreno, MD

Dr. Moreno is developing a novel coated sirolimus venoplasty balloon that decreases cell-leukocyte adhesion for deep vein thrombosis, possibly reducing post-thrombotic complications and reinterventions. 

Daniel D. Myers, Jr., DVM, MPH, DACLAM

Professor, Vascular Surgery, Surgery, and Laboratory Animal Medicine and Veterinarian, Laboratory Animal Medicine

Dr. Myers is interested in drug indexing, specifically the repurposing of current human drugs for veterinary purposes and determining novel targets for veterinary purposes.
