Throughout her career in biomedical research, Li has developed a diverse skill set that enables her to contribute effectively to her research projects. She also has published peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals. Li Shang joined Dr. Rosenzweig’s lab in August 2023. Her current research interest/focus is to investigate how exercise protects against cardiovascular disease.

Anand Singh Ph.D.

Research Investigator

Dr. Anand Prakash Singh ia a distinguished Research Investigator in Medicine at the prestigious Rosenzweig lab within the Institute for Heart and Brain Health at the University of Michigan. With a deep passion for advancing our understanding of cardiac health, Dr. Singh has dedicated his career to exploring the intricacies of cardiac regeneration, cardio-oncology, and the remarkable cardiac benefits of exercise. Dr. Singh embarked on his journey with the Rosenzweig lab in 2021, where he has been at the forefront of groundbreaking research. His primary focus revolves around unraveling the mechanistic pathways for cardiac regeneration, using an innovative exercise mouse model as his canvas for discovery. Before joining the University of Michigan, Dr. Singh earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, specializing in cell junction biology. He then embarked on a series of illuminating postdoctoral adventures, conducting research at renowned institutions such as Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the University of Alabama, and Massachusetts General Hospital. During these transformative years, he delved deep into investigating the cardiotoxic mechanisms of anti-cancer therapeutics, contributing invaluable insights to the field. Dr. Singh's dedication and expertise have led to more than 22 research publications in highly esteemed journals, cementing his reputation as a leading authority in cardiac research. Beyond his lab endeavors, Dr. Singh enjoys a passion for cricket, loves spending time with his wife and two children, and finds solace in harmonious musical tunes. You can stay connected with his research and insights on Twitter, where he can be found at @AnandSinghPhD.

Danielle Szczesniak
