In collaboration with the UM Department of Robotics, RGSC is excited to announce the first-ever ROBOSYM, a symposium dedicated to fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking among University of Michigan robotics graduate students. This event will provide a platform for students to share their research, earn prizes, and engage in discussions that advance the field of robotics.

The University of Michigan Robotics Department is pleased to host ROBOSYM 2025, a research symposium highlighting innovative research across the field of robotics from Robotics graduate students at the University of Michigan. This event will feature:
Graduate Student Oral and Poster Presentations
Current Masters and PhD students will present their latest research through oral talks and posters. Exceptional work will be recognized with awards determined by a panel of faculty judges from the Robotics Department.
Live Demonstration
“Authenticity Markers in Artist–Robot Interaction”
Presented by the Robot Studio Lab (Professor Patrícia Alves-Oliveira), this interactive demo explores the interplay between creativity, authenticity, and robotic systems in artistic collaboration.
