Application Domains in Product and System design
Some of our research has theoretical motivations, but most of our work has been motivated by societal and industrial needs and desires for products and systems that serve these needs. In this sense, a major research challenge has always been the translation of a social or industrial need into a rigorous research question.
This section includes work in the following specific areas:
Automotive systems, especially hybrid and electric powertrains
Electromagnetic systems, especially antennas
Manufacturing and design integration
In addition, applications on sustainable products and systems are included under systems design. Many papers throughout the lists include application examples as demonstrations.
