This year, Munger Graduate Residences has partnered with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to ask teams of students to address issues impacting student wellness on the University of Michigan Campus.
The University of Michigan is committed to creating a culture of well-being for its faculty, staff and community. Through a collaboration between MHealthy and Student Life, a model was created that identifies eight key dimensions of personal well-being. The philosophy embraces the concept that well-being encompasses the whole person, with many factors affecting your quality of life and playing a part in achieving balance, purpose, and vitality in your career and at home. Consider these eight dimensions on the diagram to the right as you consider how you could impact wellness on this campus.
Using a fictional $100,000 of seed money, your challenge is to create an action plan to effectively address issues impacting campus wellness. The Case Competition team has also included a few prompts; these prompts have been crafted from recent studies completed at the University of Michigan. Teams are free to address any of these specific prompts impacting campus wellness or address another wellness issue of their choosing. Each member of the winning team will receive $1000 and all members of the 2 runner up teams will receive $250
