We are excited to announce the launch of the 2nd cohort of the MPrOVE Learner Program! As a translational research unit, MPrOVE brings together Michigan Medicine clinicians and IHPI researchers to solve clinical problems and disseminate findings through both academic products and the spread of interventions.
This program is designed to connect students and trainees across stages and disciplines who are interested in improving healthcare, value, and "right-sizing" care. Through monthly workshops and networking coffee chats, led by MPrOVE faculty and staff, during the 2026-2027 academic year (September – April), learners will gain an understanding of approaches for improving value in healthcare and build practical skills in research, improvement science, and evaluation.
Participants will engage with MPrOVE faculty and staff and have opportunities to contribute to MPrOVE projects and academic products.

This program is open to motivated graduate students and post-graduate trainees (e.g., resident physicians) who are eager to connect with peers from across disciplines, expand their knowledge, and develop research skills to drive value-focused care and deliver real-world solutions for a better healthcare system. It is estimated that participants will need to commit 5-10 hours per month to the program.
The 2026-2027 cohort will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Applications are now open.
