Happy and Healthy Kids Program
What does H2 do?
Happy and Healthy Kids (H2) aims to educate elementary school students in the Ann Arbor area about various health topics. By using games and crafts to help students engage with the topics, we hope to ignite and promote a sustained interest in healthy habits. Topic areas include mental health, physical activity, nutrition, anatomy/physiology, and more. H2 members collaborate to design interactive activities that get students excited about health.
A GLIMPSE INTO OUR WORKSHOPS
This past semester, H2 volunteers hosted a variety of interactive activity sessions with students at Burns Park Elementary School in Ann Arbor! Each activity session was accompanied by a planning session, where committee members and co-chairs met to go over roles, supplies, and logistics. Flu season and disease prevention, oral hygiene, balanced diets, first aid, and emotions were a few of the topics that were covered with the elementary schoolers.
