The Genesee County Health Department is looking for volunteers to assist in the delivery of COVID-19 vaccine throughout Genesee County. Please follow the steps below if you are at least 18 years old and interested in volunteering at an upcoming GCHD COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
Vaccines for volunteers may be available if there are appointment cancellations, but cancellations are rare and there is no guarantee of this availability. To be eligible for vaccine, volunteers must live or work in Genesee County.

Info: To begin the volunteer process, community members ages 18 and older are asked to complete this survey with Kent County Emergency Management, which is partnering to assist with volunteer management at the clinic.
Additionally, volunteers must not have any felonies or misdemeanors within the last ten years, have a valid driver’s license with no suspensions in the past five years, and not had a fever or symptoms of the COVID-19 virus for at least 14 days prior to volunteering.
The survey will include authorization for a routine background check. Upon completion, eligible volunteers will receive a confirmation email and instructions for signing up for available shifts.
Oakland County
Info: Once you sign up, they'll call you and ask for your credentials. They're specifically looking for those with a medical background but also those who can do check-in, transport, triaging, etc.
Volunteering for 5 shifts is preferred.
Shifts are 6-8 hours long, either 8:00a-2:00p, 1:00p-8:00p, you will be given options for site: Southfield, Suburban Collection Novi, Pontiac + more.

Greeters and Runners: Assist with general clinic functions such as greeting people upon arrival, assisting with paperwork, helping people navigate the clinic, keeping work stations stocked, etc.
Vaccinators: Health care professionals licensed to administer vaccines
Vaccine Assistants: Assist in monitoring people post-vaccine, provide information/instructions, assist with scheduling next appointments, etc.
