Mi-SHARC Affiliates are faculty, staff, trainees, clinicians, community partners, and other professionals who share an interest in advancing sensory health and aging research. Mi-SHARC Affiliates are members of an interdisciplinary community dedicated to advancing research, education, and knowledge translation in sensory health and aging. Together, we foster collaboration, share expertise, and accelerate discoveries that improve the lives of older adults.
As a Mi-SHARC Affiliate, you will have opportunities to:
Build interdisciplinary research collaborations
Stay informed about funding, events, and educational opportunities
Participate in seminars, workshops, and networking activities
Access shared resources and research tools, including statistical support
Compete for pilot grant funding
Contribute to initiatives that advance sensory health and aging
Affiliate membership is flexible, with opportunities to engage in ways that best fit your interests and availability. Affiliates may:
Attend Mi-SHARC events and meetings
Join collaborative research and grant development efforts
Participate in working groups or educational activities
Share research, publications, and opportunities with the network
Mentor or connect with students and early-career investigators
Affiliates will be included in a network directory on the Mi-SHARC website, linking each affiliate to their Michigan Expert profile. We ask affiliates to add their sensory health and aging research interests, expertise to their Michigan Experts profile so Mi-SHARC can facilitate meaningful collaborations and networking opportunities.
