This innovative program aims to increase investigation designed to understand the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease that differentially affect women and factors underlying the health of women.
M-BRISC researchers seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and use the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. These objectives will be furthered by supporting innovative basic, translational, and clinical research projects that encompass the fundamental biology of sex differences as it applies to cardiovascular disease.

The upcoming seminar series has a new time and location!
Please join us at 12:00pm every third Wednesday of the month!
Seminars will be a combination of fully virtual or in person. In person meetings will be held in the Frankel CVC Library #2722K.
Lunch will be provided to all in person attendees!

**Room 2722K is located on the 2nd floor of the Frankel CVC, in the administration suite behind the Danto Auditorium.

"Environmental Metals and the Heart: What does biological sex have do with it?"
The M-BRISC program is proud to announce the addition of a new funding opportunity!
The new PULSE (Progressing Urgent Leads for Sex-informed CVD Etiologies) Grant mechanism is designed to support the development or expansion of pilot data that has strong potential to advance a specific area of research. The ultimate objective is to generate preliminary findings that will strengthen future applications for internal and extramural funding to support a full-scale research project. This is an ongoing award cycle with awards up to $10,000 per application.
