I recently got an opportunity to attend the CUAHSI-NCAR Training Workshop: The Community WRF-Hydro Modeling System, taking place on October 15 - 18, 2019 at NCAR in Boulder, CO. This course gave formal instruction on the structure and application of the WRF-Hydro system, and also offered hands-on experience in setting up and running the system for several different research and prediction applications.
It was a rewarding experience to join 30 other fellows, including faculty, postdoctoral researchers as well as graduates, in this comprehensive training. The hands-on practice was set up in a professional fashion to offer participants a pleasant learning process. Last but not least, the city has plenty to offer, beautiful landscape, nice restaurants, and great trails for hiking. A quick advertisement, Chez Thuy is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have visited in the US.
