FINAL Extenstion: May 1, 2026
The 2026 Conference on Fundamental Optical Processes in Semiconductors (FOPS) will be held August 2-7, 2026 at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT, USA.
The aim of the conference is to bring together the leading international groups working in optical properties of semiconductors, including both fundamental physics and optoelectronic applications, in a workshop format to present the most recent exciting results and to discuss the future directions of the field. The FOPS meetings have been organized approximately every two years since it was first held in August 2001; the last meeting was in 2024.
As in previous FOPS conferences, the meeting format is similar to the Gordon conferences: talks are mainly given by invited speakers with plenty of time reserved for discussions. Contributed papers will primarily be presented in poster sessions, which are a key part of the workshop nature of the meeting; a selection of particularly timely and appropriate contributed papers will be converted into oral presentations.
Note: For international participants, please make sure to apply for a travel visa if needed; we can provide invitation letters if they are required.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
