Customer Requirements
To determine the required features for Whispr, an analysis of the survey data was conducted. This data, which is further discussed in Market Research, highlighted features that singers believe would be beneficial in prolonging their practice sessions. It was determined that it was essential for Whispr to focus on features like aesthetics, comfort, and breathability. Furthermore, based on a few of the short answer responses, it was concluded to further emphasize the features Whispr aimed to already include. For example, many users expressed that they struggle with anxiety when it comes to practicing. For those lacking a soundproof or private space, users claimed that they were not able to practice to their full potential out of fear of being heard. Because of this, we made sure to place a focus on sound attenuation, in hopes of helping reduce this element that hinders the singer's practice session. Furthermore, while home was the most popular location to sing, people still reported that they also sing in public spaces or while commuting. Because of this, the focus on aesthetics was also further emphasized, in an attempt to reduce the social anxiety that can accompany wearing a device like this. The rest of the features that were explored are demonstrated in the chart above.
