CLaSP Data Security Analyst Kevin McLaughlin and wife Crystal welcomed daughter Olivia Josephine McLaughlin (their first!) on February 22, 2017. Congrats, Kevin and Crystal!

University of Michigan Staff Meteorologist and CLaSP (AOSS) alum Dennis Kahlbaum became a grandparent this year. Grandson Gabriel Erik Yettaw, was born on February 16, 2017 to daughter Cyndi and husband Erik. Congrats, Dennis, Cyndi, and Erik!

Bruce Block (BSEElec ‘75), Lead Engineer with the Space Physics Research Laboratory, has retired after 44 years with the University of Michigan. Mr. Block’s work the CYGNSS, JUNO, Cassini-Huygens, and Rosetta among others.

Damen Provost moves into a new role as Managing Director of the new U-M Robotics Institute. Mr. Provost previously served as senior project manager at the Space Physics Research Laboratory, and U-M Project Manager for the CYGNSS (Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System) mission. Good luck, Damen!
