Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics is now accepting applications for the Perimeter Scholars International Bridge (PSI Bridge) undergraduate program.
Perimeter Institute recognizes that there can be many barriers students face in reaching their potential, such as not having had the opportunity to study advanced undergraduate physics, having encountered barriers in their studies, or wanting to switch to theoretical physics from a different background (e.g., engineering, mathematics). In order to help students overcome these barriers and acquire skills that will help them apply to a physics graduate program, Perimeter Institute has introduced the PSI Bridge program.
PSI Bridge is a free part-time online program designed to supplement the final year of a degree program or facilitate the transition from full-time work to graduate school.
Application Deadline: April 1, 2025
Apply at ONLINE
The deadline to apply for the Perimeter Scholars International (PSI) Master’s program is fast approaching! Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2025.
The PSI Master’s program, in partnership with the University of Waterloo, is designed to attract not only students with outstanding academic records in physics and/or mathematics but also those who bring diverse perspectives, creativity, and a collaborative spirit—qualities that will help them become future innovators in the field of theoretical physics.

Speaker bio
Ryder Fox (they/them) is the President and Founder of THRIVE Lifeline and Founder and CEO of Stronger U. They are a nonbinary, queer, and neurodivergent person living with chronic physical and mental health conditions. They have worked professionally with vulnerable populations for 26 years and are passionate about improved support for multiply marginalized people. After experiencing houselessness due to being disowned in their teens, they completed their B.S. in Atmospheric Physics and M.S. in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography as a nontraditional student. Ryder and their wife live near the Smoky Mountains with their three dogs and squirrel.
"Amplifying Voices: The Journey to a PhD through the Lens of Black Women in Physics" on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2-3 p.m. ET
Presenters:
Jacquelyn Chini, PhD
Camille A. Coffie, PhD
L. Trenton Marsh, PhD
Itunu Ilesanmi, MSW, MPA, PhD
During this webinar, the presenters will share findings from a qualitative study that amplifies the experiences of Black women in physics graduate programs. Through the innovative Photovoice methodology, they will present powerful images and themes that reflect these women’s journeys, highlighting key recommendations for creating inclusive academic environments.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights to drive progress in advancing inclusion in physics.
