Amaterasu with glaive and reflector from the game Okami. This is one of my favorite games and I absolutely love this model. I think it makes a wonderful centerpiece. 

This took 3 months to finish, and I completed it in winter of 2022. 

Notes: This model took forever because I would work on it pretty casually while in my dorm room during sophomore year. It's also humongous, so transporting it home was pretty difficult, and it doesn't really fit on the shelf with my other models.

There are lots of tight angles and shapes that make it difficult to close the model up and get it to hold its shape. The flames on the reflector were the parts that gave me the most trouble, but that's where I decided to close the model because most of the ugliness could be hidden on the bottom of the reflector where nobody would see. The sword is so heavy that it pulls the snout down, so it needs to be constantly propped up. I had to place glass beads in the feet to make it stable. 

The original model was made by designer Cbird on Pepakura, but the link seems to have long since disappeared.  The version I created was a reworked model made by Totya.
