Resident Life non-exempt positions use MANUAL time entry. The Workday webclock is not available for our use at this time.
Automatic meal breaks will be added to non-exempt timesheets as long as the shift is 6 hours or longer shift.

In Workday, annual, personal, and sick leave are managed as an "absence" or "time off". Absences are short-term. In Workday, the term "leave" refers to times when a full-time employee requests off work for a long-term reason such as a medical condition.
Entering an absence
Use the Request Absence job aid to request time away and add it to your timesheet. Whenever possible, absences should be entered and approved in advance. There is no need to wait for the two week pay period to enter an absence or time away request.
Here are a few hints on the Request Absence process:
In step 5) when selecting a type of absence, employees may just start typing the type of absence like "annual" or "sick" in the section and it will populate.
After enter the day of the absence, be sure to follow to step 7) and adjust the quantity of sick and safe hours requested if not a full day
At the end of the action in the "enter your comment" section, you may enter a note for your supervisor
