Employee Self-Service is where an employee can view, edit, and take action in Workday. Employee Self-Service includes tasks and business processes that employees can initiate, such as managing their personal and emergency contact information. It also includes access to the employee's own information, such as their job title, manager, compensation, and personal data.
Workday helps employees accomplish tasks such as:
Update personal and emergency contact information
View their earnings statement
Track their time worked (if non-exempt salaried or hourly pay)
Request time off and leave of absence, and view their time off balances
Browse and enroll in professional development courses
Add goals, career achievements, and interests
On the Employee Self-Service instruction page, select the Step By Step Instructions or Job Aids tab to see job aids for a long list of actions employees can access on their Workday portal. Topics include:
