This year we got creative with space - taking chamber music back out of the concert hall and into the (metaphorical) living room of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, a nod to the origins of chamber music being played in homes. While not without its challenges, in many ways, this entirely new space – which wasn’t designed to house performances – provided a new level of flexibility and creatively-generative constraint that helped each group performing develop a presentation of their music that felt unique to them.
