DRAWING WITH THE MUSIC

In addition to setting a romantic atmosphere for their piece, this group was particularly curious about asking the audience to draw along with the music. The musicians had done a similar exercise in preparation for the performance and were interested in seeing what interpretations the audiences came up with.

Paper and colorful markers were laid out around the space and a note in the program shared the prompt with audience members. After the performance, audience members posted their drawings on a shared board and were delighted in seeing each others’ interpretations. The musicians were thrilled with the participation and had a lot of fun looking at all of the drawings.
