ROCKING OUT

Every time we talked with this group about their piece, they highlighted how “rocky” it felt to them. That was consistently the texture and imagery that was evoked for them, so we decided to lean into it with giant rocks cascading down the wall behind them. And in a stroke of serendipity, the day before the performance we learned the prop shop (which was next to our studio workspace) was getting ready to repaint some giant prop rocks for an upcoming play. They lent them to us for the performance and it really brought the rock theme home.
