SUMMER MUSIC

For this piece – Summer Music by Samuel Barber – the group really wanted to create an atmosphere of a summer night around the campfire. Though we sadly were not allowed to serve s’mores, we were able to create a flickering campfire that audience members were excited to come sit around. As we sat on benches and the stairs surrounding the musicians and the campfire, it really was easy to imagine being outside together enjoying a sticky summer night.
