Dance squared was a performance of how humanity and technology interact, it was shown through dance, audience participation, and robots. This performance was a unique way to express a message and was a very creative idea to have a mix of human interaction and how the interaction of humans influence technology. The message was an interesting statement on both how humans influence technology and how that technology can either bring us together or tear us apart. The interactive portions of the performance were done by having people scan qr codes that took them to a site where every now and then certain questions would appear. These questions were focused on what the robots would have to do next and were based on what answer people voted for. The answer with most votes would be what the robots would then do. I felt that these questions and answers gave me a sense of connection to the other people voting and also to the robots. We had to decide their fate and we had to choose the best option for the robots. Like in the real world it's up to everyone to decide how to use technology and if they are going to choose to use it for the good of technology and humanity or will they choose to use it for evil or wrong reasons. This performance was trying to show people that yes technology can connect us and that most people choose to use technology for the better.

#Arts and Crafts
This activity allowed me to create a nice and funny necklace. It also allowed me to meet some of the other people living with me in Bel Air and also in the Arts Scholars program. I got the chance to see how the other people in Art Scholars behave and act, their likes and dislikes, and their personalities. This experience showed me a new way to connect with others, through a passion for art. I can apply this to my major because as an engineering major I need to connect with others to get a project complete. Working with others is a necessity for engineers, it allows us to share ideas and important information that one might forget or not think of on their own. Teamwork can also protect people from danger, for example if a group is designing a model for a new commercial plane someone needs to check the safety for all the passengers on the plane, if the exits are secure, if the engines won't create a large blast if they bust, and the safety of the pilots and airplane staff, if it's okay for them to stand, make sure the windshield won't break, etc. There is bound to be something that would slip someone's mind if they were working by themselves, so a group is needed, and to work with a group you need to be able to voice your thoughts and opinions, which is what this event helped people do. I believe that this event was a great time and a great opportunity to interact with people.

#visualart
This event gave me the chance to try a different kind of water colors, and also interact with some of the other people in Art Scholars. I have some experience in using watercolors but have never used a water paint version of it. I normally use the kind where you need to use water to make a dry palette into paint. This event allowed me to remember how relaxing and calming watercolors can be. It also allowed me to see water painting in a new way, which is something engineers need to do when working on a project, they need to look at all aspects of a situation and multiple ways to solve what is at hand. This change of view allows engineers to find solutions that could be more effective either physically or economically. Another way that let me have a different view on things is that I limited myself to three colors, this made me have to narrow down my ideas but also get more creative. I believe that this event was a great and successful event, it allowed me to relax with art, expand my creative, and remind me that their are multiple solutions to a question or problem.
