The Mobility in Aging Alliance is a research team at UMass Amherst that seeks to understand how best to optimize physical mobility as we age. Research is conducted with the purpose of uncovering the multi-system changes associated with older aging, so that effective treatments can be designed to help improve mobility and quality of life throughout the aging process.
The Mobility in Aging Alliance comprises researchers at UMass Amherst from a wide range of disciplines who focus on understanding the factors that may enhance mobility, physical function, and quality of life in older adults.
