Democracy depends on free expression. But we understand that there can be significant impediments to articulating views that go against the grain. We invite you here to submit a view that you think is unpopular or underrepresented on our campus and why it needs to be heard. To support you in making these views known, we will also give you the option to have your statement posted on this webpage. If you choose to have it posted, you can choose to sign it or leave it anonymous.
We will accept statements between 200 and 400 words from individuals or groups. A committee consisting of 4 individuals will review all submissions: Amel Ahmed, Political Science; Jenniffer Lundquist, Sociology; Raymond La Raja, Political Science; Tim Komatsu, Graduate Student Assistant. Only these individuals will view your submission until/unless you choose to make it public.
We will offer three cycles for review of submissions, with three deadlines, which will be the cut-off for review for that cycle: September 20th, October 20th, and November 20th. You may enter as many submissions as you wish as long as they are distinct from each other.
