The main goal of our lab is to advance research on ecology, evolution and conservation of the bees in the Canary Islands. The Island system stands out for a high number of endemic species, as well as for the vulnerability of its biota to anthropogenic impacts, therefore our research focuses on inventorying island wild bee diversity, understanding its evolutionary patterns, and unveiling how it will respond to climate change
