What is Scratch?

Scratch is a game making, coding program in which students get to learn how to code in a fun and easy to follow way. Scratch uses "block-coding", a way of teaching younger students how commands work in a clear and concise way. The program really encourages students to explore their creativity and gives them the freedom to design almost any type of game or animation they could think of. Since there are three levels of difficulty, the last level introducing text based coding, this is a great way to introduce students to coding in a more individually catered fashion.
