Technical service is a Processing Section that plays a key role to the library. It makes a bridge between the acquisition of documents and the circulation. This Section is located at the 2nd floor of the main library and is responsible for receiving, processing, labeling and availing all library information materials to other sections. The section is also charged with automating the library collections and maintaining an efficient Open Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) System. The major activities of this section are Classification of books following DDC classification scheme; Cataloguing of books; Preparing / Update Database using school automate software; Stamping and labeling, spine-label; Generate list of new arrival of books which includes bibliographic details; Put hardcopy of new arrivals into display board and send all books for Circulation to the users.
An online public access catalog (often abbreviated as OPAC or simply library catalog) is an online database of materials of the University of Luzon Library. The OPAC can be used to search the holdings of the library and to request or reserve books. Every floor of the UL library was provided with an OPAC.
The UL library maintains an updated Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for easy retrieval of library holdings by the students and faculty members. Moreover, the library integrates the indexes as well as the AV resources in the OPAC.
Graduate School Library is a section located at the second floor of the library building exclusively for the graduate school students and faculty members. It caters to the needs of Graduate School students, faculty, personnel, and researchers.
The Klikstation/Internet Section has 40 Units of computers with internet access giving students and faculty members the opportunity to explore the virtual world.
Moreover, the library is a WI-FI zone that gives the students efficient access to updated sources of information.
