UHMA1 is a device for mechanical underactuation of a prosthetic hand. The system connects all the tendons of a multi-degree-of-freedom hand to a part that can rotate with respect to a second part which can translate following a liner guide attached to the prosthesis. This second part is connected to a bowden cable for actuation with a harness. The system allows adaptive grasping thanks to the motion of the rotary part.
The device has been tested with a Limbitless hand. Here you can see photos and videos of the tests performed with this integration.
