Malay Language
Background
The Malay Studies Department (JPM) caters to all Malay language needs of the university. JPM also offers courses to foreign students who are registered as UiTM students and helps foreign universities in designing Malay Studies Programmes and teaching the Malay language as a foreign language. JPM lecturers are also very involved in writing research papers, course materials and manuals, textbooks and presenting papers at national and international levels.
Diploma Courses
BBM110-MALAY LANGUAGE FOR OFFICE MANAGEMENT
This course exposes the linguistic aspects of the Malay language appropriate to office management specialisation. It will also develop the skills of office management in the official, unofficial and informal professional context.
BBM321-INTRODUCTION TO PRINCIPLES OF TRANSLATION
This course is an introduction to translation theory and skills for translating general and specific texts related to students’ specialisation areas.

BMU533-MALAY LANGUAGE FOR LAW I
This course enhances the students’ ability in Malay language skills. It exposes the students to various forms of academic writing spesifically related to the legal field.
BMU556-MALAY LANGUAGE FOR LAW II
