Intern of the Learning Partnership, Chicago, USA 06/2024-08/2024
Conducted research on the impact of Skyline curriculum implementation on the effectiveness of Exploring Computer Science (ECS) course-taking in improving student performance in biology, chemistry, and physics in Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high schools.
Employed a three-level hierarchical linear model (HLM) to investigate how the Skyline curriculum moderates the impact of ECS participation on high school students’ science academic performance.
Used STATA to clean and analyze CPS administrative data from the 2021–2022 and 2022–2023 academic years, including student, teacher, course, and school level variables.
Presented research findings at the 2024 CAFÉCS Research Symposium and shared findings to CPS administrators and science teachers.
Published the report, and it was highlighted in the quarterly magazine of The National Network of Education Research-Practice Partnerships.
Intern of NGO, Save the Children, Guangzhou, China 04/2021-09/2021
Translated the questionnaires, co-designed and entered them using the platform of “Questionnaire Star”.
Conducted field observations, interview analysis and questionnaire analysis.
Analyzed data using SPSS and EXCEL, and wrote the data analysis report using WORD and PPT
Managed the database of “Accountability”, made the meeting report and co-wrote the “China Accountability Report”.
