AHA Certification Requirements

AHA Certification Requirements by Program

Find the American Heart Association (AHA) certification requirements for your program in the table below.  Required AHA certifications can include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  It is important that you have the appropriate active certifications on file before you start training.  To make sure that you are compliant, please do the following:

• Upload any active AHA certifications to your New Innovations profile (see step 22 in your NI onboarding checklist).

• Respond to any requests to register for AHA recertification from SAIL Heart Center, your program, or GME.  Refer to the table below when choosing your training sessions.

• Any questions about your AHA certification requirements and training registration can be directed to your program coordinator and the UIH GME office.
