The UIC-SRC is a DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources)–recognized environmental laboratory since 1996, a DOH (Department of Health)–accredited water testing facility since 2001, and a PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) Board of Chemistry-authorized laboratory since 2018.
