Our Vision

Progressive Education for the 21st Century

By harnessing the power of progressive education, we have transformed the learning experience in our virtual classrooms to be inclusive, dynamic, authentic, effective, equitable, and meaningful. Acting as researchers of our students' interests and questions, we are inspired by the works of progressive education pioneers like Jean Piaget, John Dewey, Loris Malaguzzi (Reggio Emilia) and Seymour Papert. We have shifted our practice so that students are at the centre of learning, and we guide and support them in constructing their knowledge through student-led inquiries, multidisciplinary learning, and the project approach.

We strongly believe that the necessity for online learning in this moment is a tremendous opportunity for educators to change the way we teach and learn, and we are excited about the possibilities this will bring.
