I interviewed two volunteer teachers with Casa De Amistad, a non-profit in Athens. They help teach English to Spanish-speaking adults. 

UGA Miracle’s annual Dance Marathon brings students together for 24 hours of dancing and fundraising, all to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CH. I covered the story behind the university’s largest student-run philanthropy.

I attended an Oconee County Commissioners Meeting and wrote about specific bills that were passed. 

Athens mayor, Kelly Girtz, holds a press conference regarding public safety. I covered his efforts with prevention and helping citizens before a crime is committed. 

The Clarke County Board of Education met November 13 for their monthly meeting. The meeting focused on the West Broad renovations and future budgetary concerns.
