Big wheel: An amusement-park or fairground ride consisting of a giant vertical revolving wheel with passenger cars suspended on its outer edge (also known as a Ferris Wheel)
Central hub: Middle of wheel connecting the spindle and spokes.
Constraints: Limitations with material, time, size of team, etc.
Criteria: Conditions that the design must satisfy like its overall size, etc.
Diameter: the length of a straight line through the center of a circle.

Acceleration: The rate of change of velocity with respect to time. If an object is speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction, it is acceleration or decelerating. Acceleration describes the rate of change of both the magniture and the directin of velocity. Acceleration = Force divided my mass or a A=F/m
Force: an influence on an object which causes a change in velocity, direction, or shape. Force equals mass times acceleration or F=ma.
Gravity: The force that tends to draw objects toward the center of the Earth.
Mass: The amount of matter within an object is called mass. The terms mass and weight are often used interchangeably. However, weight = Mass X Gravity, thus mass can never be zero while weight can be zero when no gravitational forces are acting upon it.
Inertia: the tendency to resist change in motion. Inertia embodies Newton's first law: an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Centripetal Acceleration: The acceleration toward the center that holds a satellite elliptical in orbit. It is the force that keeps a smaller object orbiting a bigger one.
