Florida is one of the top producers of peanuts! In Columbia County about 4,000 acres of peanuts are grown every year. The peanuts produced in North Florida are used for peanut butter, next years seed, peanut candy, and peanut oil. Collect jars of peanut butter and get them to your local Extension Office. Have the whole class participate and/or make it a competition between classes! Jars are being accepted at all County Extension Offices in Florida through November 25, 2020. Help us combat hunger through donating unopened jars of peanut butter!
