The future of education will be more digitally driven than ever before. The classrooms of 20 years ago have evolved, and will continue to evolve, to meet the needs of students in the current age and beyond. Although technology is a huge part of education, technology for the sake of technology is not what is needed in education. However, technology that increases student engagement, comprehension, and retention, and which improves teaching is key.
The future of my own business and career as an educator is reliant upon the use of educational technology. Creating presentations, worksheets, videos, and other educational content is an integral part of my career. I will continue to seek knowledge and learn new skills in order to develop my abilities and hone my skills for the digitally driven classroom.
It is important to note that the future of education is intended to blend technology with traditional education practices, not to necessarily replace them. The future educator and learner will need to operate in both.
