What is an Apprentice?
To address the critical teacher shortage, The University of Florida’s College of Education received a grant to create a pathway for professionals and non-instructional staff in schools to become highly qualified teachers. This program has been identified as an innovative apprenticeship program to expand both the size and the diversity of the teacher workforce.
They have been officially registered as an apprentice because they obtained the following credentials:
A Bachelor’s degree
A Statement of Eligibility (SOE)
Passing scores on their Subject Area Exam (SAE)
Employment at your school
Endorsement from the school district
