Placements
Internship Application Process
To access and complete the Internship Placement Application Form, login to your LiveText account at: https://c1.livetext.com/misk5/login/ and find the “Forms” tab.
Click “Forms” to locate the Internship Placement Application Form.
Click “Take form.”
Read each item carefully and provide the required information. You must provide a response for each item. Enter N/A if Not Applicable.
Once you begin filling out the application you can stop at any point and save your work. When you go back you will see a “continue” button, click to proceed in completing the form.
Only click on the “submit form” when you have completed the application in full, have proofread, and checked for errors.
To access your completed form in LiveText:
Click on the Title of the form (University of Florida Placement Application – Elementary & Early Childhood Education – Fall 2023-Spring 2024. You will be able to see your completed form, but you will not be able to change the information submitted.
The final steps are to click on ”Create a Printable Version”, “Print” in upper right hand corner, once the Print option opens up click on “Open PDF in Preview”, from the File tab select “Save”, Save As Last Name, First Name UF Internship Placement Application, and email it to your Field Experience Coordinator, Ashley Sprague at a.sprague@coe.ufl.edu

Placement and Notification
Do not contact any schools, administration or teachers to try and set up your own placement.
When your application is submitted in LiveText and a PDF emailed to Ashley Sprague, the placement process officially begins.
Formal requests are sent to schools.
Placements are finalized between the COE and the school.
Email notification of internship placement is sent from LiveText.
Remember, any school, teacher and grade preferences are just requests and cannot be guaranteed.

What is LiveText?
LiveText is a valuable technology tool that will be used for assessment of program competencies aligned with the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs), application and evaluation of field experiences for required practicum and internship, and to track and ensure all requirements are met for program completion, clearance for graduation, and certification.
How to Purchase LiveText
Visit https://www.livetext.com/purchase_membership/
Enter your personal information (Please use your UF e-mail in all fields)
Create a LiveText Account
Select the Edition that costs - $139 from the drop-down menu (for 7-year license).
Enter payment information and click Submit Billing and Create Account
Placement Satisfaction and Exit Survey
Placement Satisfaction Survey
The Placement Satisfaction Surveys gathers feedback from student interns at the end of their placement regarding their experiences with a site supervisor, the mentor, and at the assigned school/site.
The surveys are sent to your UF email from an @coe.ufl.edu email and will contain instructions on how to access the survey.
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and the responses will be kept confidential.
Exit Survey
The Exit Survey give you an opportunity to provide feedback about your educational experiences while completing your degree. Your feedback will be helpful in our efforts to improve programs in our college.
Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential and will not be identified or reported, so please be candid.
The survey will be administered via a Qualtrics to your seminar class by either a member of EduGator Central or by your Professor.

All FTCE’s are Computer-Based.
Seating is limited and registration is based on a first-come, first served basis.

Transcripts
You can submit your transcripts to the DOE electronically
Double check your unofficial transcripts to ensure the completion statement is listed before sending in your transcripts. See below for example. Subject area and endorsements will vary with program.
FAQ
I am moving to a new state, can I transfer my certificate?
Yes! You will need to go to your new state's Department of Education website and look up how to transfer an out of state certificate. Each state has a different process, so please read the instructions carefully.
I need a form completed for an out of state certificate, who can fill it out for me?
You can send any forms that need to be completed to Ashley Sprague at a.sprague@coe.ufl.edu
The FLDOE is requesting fingerprints for my certification, but I now live out of state. How do I complete them?
The FLDOE can send you a fingerprint kit in the mail, or you can get them done at select Live Scan locations.
I submitted my applicaiton for a professional certification FOREVER ago, when will I hear back?
Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline on how long it will take for your application to be procressed. If you are applying for positions or if you school wants proof of your time at UF, we can provide a Job Help Letter. Please email Ashley Sprague at a.sprague@coe.ufl.edu to request a letter.
