Animals and animal products in Florida add, on average, over $1.6 billion to the US economy.

Cattle and calf sales represent 7.6 of Florida's agriculture sales, with a total value over $580 million. On January 1st, 2019 there were 914,000 head of beef cattle in the state.

Fresh fluid milk from dairy cows represents 7% of Florida agriculture, with annual sales over $535 million. Florida is the 17th largest producer of milk and dairy products in the US. There are approximately 116,000 head of dairy cow in the state of Florida.

The Florida horse industry, including industry suppliers, generates an annual $6.8 billion economic impact on the gross domestic product of Florida. Total employment figures add up to 244,200 jobs.

With a population of over 385,000 horses, Florida ranks as the third largest equine state in the United States. Horse ownership, equine associations and profit-making organizations, plus tourism spending by riders and spectators, combine for a $11.7 billion annual economic impact.

The commercial swine industry is not very large in Florida, equaling only .03% of agriculture sales with a total value just under $2 million. Florida is home to around 13,000 hogs in the commercial industry.

Poultry and eggs represent 4.3% of Florida's agricultural sales, with a total value over $331 million. 2.6% of poultry related sales come from meat chickens (broilers), and 1.5% comes from egg producers.

Florida poultry farmers maintained an average of 7.34 million layers in 2018 which produced over 2 billion eggs. 65.4 million broiler chickens were raised in 2018, generating $215 million in sales.
