Goats are unique industry in the United States. Primarily goats are raised for their meat, however they can be used for dairy, fiber (wool/hair), or brush control. Goats are also one of the most popular livestock to have as a pet/hobby due to their smaller space requirements. Much of the demand for goat meat is met by importing meat in from other countries, therefore there is a large sector available for growth of this industry.
