Reason/s for pursuing STEM: I decided to pursue STEM for my SHS strand because I aspire to become a Pediatric doctor someday. Growing up, I felt pressured to choose my career path, especially when children my age already planned theirs while I was still contemplating. But when I realized that this career path was something that I truly wanted, I took the courage to pursue STEM. Although I heard that this strand is challenging, particularly in Science and Mathematics, I still chose this strand because I will gain a lot of knowledge for my chosen career, which would be very helpful for me in the future.

Career Vision: Fifteen years from now, I see myself as a licensed Pediatric doctor passionate about helping and treating children with sickness because this is something that her younger self dreamt her to be. 

Reason/s for pursuing STEM: The reason why I chose STEM is because firstly, I came from a family that mostly works in the medical field. As a kid, I said “I also want to pursue something related to medicine”. I was greatly inspired by my family, especially my mom, whom I can see became very successful with her career in being a licensed physician. Second, as time went by and I grew older, It came to my attention that the leading cause of death in my country is heart disease. That’s when I knew I needed to use my talents and skills to benefit, contribute, and help those in need. Pursuing STEM was a challenge, but I know it will be worth it in the end. 

Career Vision: I see myself 20 years in the future being a successful cardiologist  dedicated to providing the highest standard of quality cardiac care to my patients with a professional compassionate approach. 

Reason/s for pursuing STEM: Pursuing STEM education is essential for aspiring aeronautical engineers, as it equips them with the problem-solving skills and necessary technical knowledge required in this field. Through STEM subjects like physics and mathematics, they develop a strong foundation to understand the principles behind aerospace structures.

Career Vision: My career vision is to become an aeronautical engineer, as this profession aligns with my passion for aviation and my desire to contribute to advancements in aerospace technology.

Reason/s for pursuing STEM:  The reason why I chose the stem strand is because it is the right path for me because I want to pursue Medicine and go to med school. My first choice is to become a flight attendant but I wanted to become a doctor too since my mom is a nurse, she became my inspiration why I became interested in the medical field. 

Career Vision: My career vision is that I want to pass in med school and officially become a successful doctor. 

Reason/s for pursuing STEM: The rationale why I took STEM is because it provides a solid foundation for students who strive to be a Civil Engineer in the long run. On my father’s side, Most of my relatives have engineering degrees and hearing their stories inspired me but also there’s this fear and doubt inside me because my weakness in academics is Math. Up until now, I have had these doubts whether if I’m going to make it or not yet I took the courage to take the STEM Strand because this is one step ahead of my dream and having a STEM background will help me to develop a strong foundation and knowledge to excel in the analytical and technical aspects of civil engineering.

Career Vision: My career vision is that I see myself 10 years from now as a successful Civil Engineer and thanking my younger self that I chose to survive and this profession.
