At UNP Labschool, for the high school level held in the temporary class because the previous class of UNP Labschool devastated because of Earthquake disaster on 22th of July 2023. Therefore, the temporary class still provide many requirements to do educational activities in the class such as whiteboard, chair, table, etc. However, if we want to use a projector, we need to borrow it from the school because it’s not given to all class. This can be understood because the class that is currently used istemporary, so the installation of projectors in each class does need to be thought through.
UNP Labschool uses the learning activities based on 7Es (Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, and Extend). But in the UNP Labschool, we don’t use the point of “Extend”. The all points of 7Es can be described as:
a. Elicit: reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
b. Engage: establishing a purpose for the lesson and presenting examples/instances of the new lesson
c. Explore: discussing new concept and practicing new skills
d. Explain: developing mastery (leads to Formative Assessment)
e. Elaborate: finding practical application of concepts and skills in daily living; generalizing and abstractions about the lesson
f. Evaluate: assessing students’ progress
g. Extend: could be remedial or enrichment if needed
