When orchestrating research for the topic of Syrian Refugee Migration, it was important to collect data and conduct interviews in order to get different perspectives on the topic from people who are experts in the field. By doing this, it creates a stronger means of gathering information and coming to better conclusions. Although experts in the field may not necessarily be victims of the issue, they give us a great understanding of what being a Syrian refugee, or just a refugee in general, means and how it can affect the lives of those who are victims. By getting outsiders' perspectives who are still familiar with the situation, we are able to get less of a bias conduction of research while still obtaining valuable information that could help us to get towards a stronger conclusion.

When choosing who to reach out to in order to get an expert's opinion on the matter of Syrian Refugee Migration, it was important to reach out to people that seemed to have a passion for the topic or who may be part of organizations that are focused on the aid and assistance of refugees, even if it was organizations that focused on other refugees of different backgrounds as well.
Among one of the interviewees who sprung an interest on the topic was a women named Rona Buchalter, from a non-profit organization in Pennslyvania called the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, also known as HIAS. This organization's mission is to "provide legal, resettlement, citizenship, and supportive services to immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers from all backgrounds in order to ensure their fair treatment and full integration into American society". Therefore, their sole purpose is to aid the victims fleeing from their homecountries, in order to provide them with as much of a seamless integration into American society as possible.

The interview with Rona, Director of Refugee Programming and Planning of the organization, provided valuable information on the general idea regarding factors that could push immigrants to flee from their countries. After asking a few questions as to what HIAS' mission is and what different types of immigrants that they aid, I was able to ask Rona of her expertise on the topic of reguees and what the leading driving factors of them leaving have been. She was able to provide me with a few factors that she believed come into play when deciding to flee a country:

"Among one of the main reasons is the danger that they face if they were to stay home. Most of these refugees are scared to stay and eventually do anything they can to keep themselves and their families safe. They are more concerned with fleeing immediate danger, rather than the potential danger they may face while fleeing... " -Rona Butchalter

Rona explained how most refugees are seeking to just stay alive, and they feel that they can only do this by leaving the immediate danger behind and risk the journey in migrating somewhere that would be safe for them and their families.
"In some cases, they may hear militia men coming through the door of their homes in the middle of the night, so they run through the back door as fast as they can... and they just keep running. And that's the last time they see their homes". -Rona
