FASH 417: Lifecycle Approach to Apparel | April 1–May 1, 2026
In spring 2026, students in FASH 417: Lifecycle Approach to Apparel partnered with Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County to pilot the Re/Fashion Hub, a circularity incubator focused on extending the life and value of donated goods through remanufacturing, repair, and upcycling.
Grounded in discovery learning and building on more than a decade of University of Delaware × Goodwill collaborations, students worked in teams to transform post-retail textiles into limited-run products while exploring the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of circular fashion systems. Operating within a dedicated Goodwill pilot space, they documented workflow processes, material yields, and lessons learned through community-engaged practice.
