Class Reflections:
Upon first impression, I've got overall positive feelings towards this class. I feel like it'll be one I could enjoy quite a good amount.
It seems less complex and intensive than other CISC courses I've taken, which I like as some of those class were quite the ordeal.
I've never used Google Sites before, but as with most google apps, it's not hard to get used to. Everything is pretty simplistic which is an attribute I appreciate as I've rarely used any website creation tools before.
Homework:
HW1:
The first homework assignment I found to be pretty neat all things considered. I liked reading all the different reviews people found and what aspects of the reviews people decided to choose. When I chose my three games for the assignment, I put probably way more thought into the game than I needed. I could have just chosen three popular games, but I wanted to choose games that I personally liked and ones that can give some insight into kinds of games I enjoy. It didn't really matter, but I like the selection I chose.
Action/Fighting Brandon Dongfack Dragon Ball FighterZ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Ball_FighterZ "The 3-on-3 tag team setup (akin to the Marvel vs. Capcom series), along with these easy-to-pick-up controls, almost guarantees that players will use more than a few characters. There’s a fine attention to detail in both character animation and its adaptation." "it’s worth noting that the simplicity in design may infuriate more seasoned fighting game professionals in that newbies can easily execute damaging auto combos by mashing light, medium, and heavy attacks together, resulting in matches where players can go in without a care or thought in the world and wreak havoc by spamming the same moves over and over again."
Adventure/Platformer Brandon Dongfack Kirby's Return to Dreamland https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirby%27s_Return_to_Dream_Land "With its impeccable balance of difficulty, satisfyingly simple level design, and insurmountable overload of squishy charm, Return to Dream Land provides a platform experience that comes as close to perfect as one can get." "mostly disappointing because it doesn't really attempt to do anything we haven't seen before."
Role-Playing Brandon Dongfack NEO: The World Ends With You https://square-enix-games.com/neotwewy/en-us/ "The game boasts an energetic soundtrack that feeds off the energy of the original, a deep and rewarding combat system that makes a successful leap to 3D, an inspiring cast of characters that stand tall on their own, and importantly, a world that begs you to come back even after you’ve finished the 40+ hour campaign." "The action can get chaotic and messy,"
