Hi @channel, I’m back!!! I missed you all over the past week and a half, but was excited to return and see all of the progress you have made.
Diving right back into things, I have some updates and reminders for this community:
THIS Wednesday at 5pm UTC, Careers Team member Vera Fishman will be joining this community in #ama_sessions to answer your career-related questions! The new year is a great time to start job searching since lots of companies have just finalized their new budgets and headcounts for 2019, so you won’t want to miss out on the chance to ask all your burning career questions!
If possible, I recommend attending live- Vera has a *ton* of great knowledge, and chatting with her live gives you the chance to clarify and ask follow-up questions!
With holidays fast approaching for many of you, it’s important to structure your time in a way that keeps you on track with your studies! @Agnieszka shared some *fabulous* tips about how to do this in #time_management - check them out! And remember, on Tuesday, December 18 at 8pm UTC, Martin McGovern will be leading a webinar on using holiday downtime to your advantage! Learn more and RSVP HERE.
And last but not least, on Thursday, December 20, 8pm UTC, there is another webinar on Planning your Job Search! Join Martin again to learn how to give a strong elevator pitch, network, and write your resume! RSVP HERE.
Keep up the focus and great work, everyone!! This community might be quieter than it used to be but it is mighty!! I have had conversations with many of you who are balancing a huge number of responsibilities, so continue to focus on your priorities, make time to treat yourself every once in a while, and keep your eyes on the prize! *YOU’VE GOT THIS!!!*
Hi @channel, happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! Closing announcements for this week are brief:
Udacity will be closed on December 24-26 and December 31-January 1 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s.
What this means for you:
Thank you for your patience!
I hope that you all have a happy, healthy, and joyous holiday. Or, if you don’t celebrate, then I wish you a happy, healthy, and joyous week (any day is occasion for good tidings!) Enjoy time with your families, a break from school and/or work (including your NDs!!), feasting on your favorite foods, and taking some well-earned time to relax.
I’ll see you back here on Thursday! Happy holidays!!
