Patient data is distributed across multiple platforms, resulting in a lack of holistic view of patients’ health as well as difficulties in data storage, platform syncing, and data security, which leads to difficult user experiences and skepticism of health data apps for both clinicians and patients.
Therefore, MedDash allows clinicians, U.S. patients, and health applications to access patient data; the website is patient-facing to allow undiagnosed/incurable patients to view their data efficiently as well as a clinician-facing side to view different patient data. The patients are mainly from elderly populations, where creating a website that provides better user experience is important for tracking wearable sensor data such as heart rate, step count, glucose monitoring etc. as well as inputting data that elderly patients can easily track themselves such as weight loss or glasses of water drank per day.
