Testing Different Materials
Silicon: low viscosity, difficult to apply layer. Didn't fully dry, and unable to be inverted
Latex: Able to easily be painted on, completely peels off when dried, and watertight
Working with Shapes
Circular: Easy to cut out, but folded onto itself, and was unadaptable to different morphologies
Ridges: Also easy to cut out, and easy to apply and stick on
Flower/Star: Relatively easy to cut out, stuck on easily, visually appealing
Adhesive Testing
Liquid Adhesive: Waterproof, long drying time, packable, but difficult to apply
Watertight bandage: Waterproof, no drying time, shapeable, relatively painless, packable
Skin-tac + Watertight tape: Waterproof, no drying time, also shapeable and painless, but left residue behind
Fluid Indicator
Hydrochromic paint
Dries evenly
Becomes clear when wet, turns back to white after drying
Deemed as effective indicator after running prototype under water
